Our design response was to consider this apartment as a private realm offering respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The interior offers a relaxed, private lounge type feel with a mixture of warm, muted natural materials. Some elements of the apartment are illuminated such as the back-lit onyx slabs, some are reflective to ‘double the view’ and others are floating such as the in-situ concrete forms. The polished concrete day-bed and adjacent bulkhead create a dynamic yet balanced composition.
